More Americans support sanctions, fewer support military intervention and accepting refugees

Americans present a united front in supporting aid to Ukraine, as well as strict sanctions against the aggressor, Russia. The picture is different when it comes to questions about refugees and potential military action. Approximately 1/3 of Americans do not support the "admission of thousands of Ukrainian refugees," according to a study (Pew Research Center). Another 1/3 support American involvement in military action even if there is a threat of nuclear war.

42% of those surveyed think that the US is not providing enough aid to Ukraine, while 7% believe the aid is too much. 32% rate the aid as sufficient, timely and appropriate. Looking at political views, among members and supporters of the Republican Party, 49% believe that support could be greater, whereas among Democrats, 38% share this view.
