Following the conclusion of the research study Approving propagation technologies and selecting the most promising clones of sweet cherry (Cerasus avium Moench. syn. Prunus avium L.) for establishing productive timber plantations in Latvian climatic conditions, LVMI Silava, SIA Palus and the Institute of Horticulture are organising a seminar, which will take place on 11 July in and around Dobele.

The aim of the research was to select the most promising sweet cherry clones, develop vegetative propagation technologies for these clones, and establish trial plantations in field conditions to test for frost resistance in local and foreign clones suitable for timber and fruit processing.
Seminar programme
