At the end of last week – on 26 September – Vilnius hosted the “Baltic Brand Forum 2025”, at which the most loved, greenest, most human, best-value, most resonant and fastest-growing brands in the Baltics were announced on the basis of public opinion. For the eighth year running, AS “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) has managed to retain its leading position as Latvia's greenest brand.
Tomass Kotovičs, Head of the LVM Communications Department, explains:
“We are truly proud and grateful to the people of Latvia for their trust and high regard, recognising us as Latvia's greenest brand for the eighth year in a row. We reinforce this every day through our work and development – we look after Latvia's green gold, the nation's prosperity and its natural assets, we tend and grow the forest in order to mitigate climate change, and we ensure that people have freely available recreation opportunities in Latvia's state forests. This recognition affirms our responsibility to society.”
In Latvia, the fastest-growing brand was “Ķekava”, the most human brand “Swedbank”, the most loved brand “Swedbank”, the most loved local producer brand “Kārums”, the most loved media brand Latvijas Televīzija, the best-value brand “Depo”, the most resonant brand “Swedbank” and the greenest brand “Latvijas valsts meži”.
In the overall Baltic rankings, meanwhile: fastest-growing and greenest brand – “Ikea”, most human and most loved brand – “Swedbank”, most loved local producer brand – “Kārums”, most loved media brand – “Delfi”, best-value brand – “Lidl”, most resonant brand – “Swedbank”.
In 2025 the “Baltic Brand Forum” was held for the 21st time, bringing together international industry specialists and hosting panel discussions on how brands interact with culture as a significant shaper of everyday habits and values.
“Brand Capital” is the most extensive brand and lifestyle study in the Baltics. Its origins go back to 2004 and the creation of the “Latvian Brand Rankings”, while since 2013 the study has also been carried out in Lithuania and Estonia. To ensure that the data is representative, the study is conducted by “Norstat”, one of the leading and largest collectors of market research data in Europe.
