Continuing to promote the use of renewable resources for energy production and to strengthen Latvia's energy independence, a/s “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) has commenced the sale of wood chips for energy for the 2023/2024 heating season and has announced a call for applications for the purchase of wood chips for energy within the framework of long-term cooperation. The sales procedure offers 650,000 loose cubic metres of wood chips for energy across the entire territory of Latvia, from which more than 550,000 megawatt-hours of heat energy can be produced. The planned delivery period is from May 2023 to April 2024.

Interested parties are invited to familiarise themselves with the sales offer and submit applications via the LVM cooperation partner portal by 17 March of this year. Applicants who have not previously participated in the LVM sales process are invited to submit an application in accordance with the procedures specified in the sales offer to demonstrate compliance with the criteria applicable to buyers.
