The Rural Support Service has begun its annual survey of agricultural land (LIZ) and the publication of initial results on the LAD map (https://karte.lad.gov.lv [1]). The map displays only those land units where, according to information available to the LAD, the LIZ area has not been maintained to the required extent (at least 70% of the LIZ must be managed).

In the event that an owner believes that a specific LIZ area has been maintained, we ask them to inform the service so that the published information can be reassessed.

It is important to note that the information on the map is updated once every 24 hours, therefore the service encourages you to keep track of the latest updates.

Data regarding all unmaintained properties will be sent to municipalities by 20 November of this year for the application of the additional real estate tax rate.
