The research and consultancy company “Kantar” carries out a study each year to establish the views of Latvian employees and students on the most attractive employers and on the criteria that matter when choosing an employer. In the 2025 study, AS “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) was recognised as one of the most attractive employers among both working people and students.

This year's study covered the 70 largest companies in Latvia by number of employees and turnover, drawn from a range of sectors.

The employer's strengths as seen by potential employees and students:

• successful in its field and operating in a sector that is growing and developing.
• reputation – the company is trusted by its employees and clients, as well as by society as a whole.
• meaningful work – the services, products, projects and solutions on offer are valuable to society and contribute to a sustainable future, allowing employees to feel that they matter.
• a contemporary, modern and innovation-focused company – it puts new ideas into practice and introduces technologies and changes in order to develop.

The research company “Kantar” has been carrying out regular studies on the image of the most attractive employers among working people and students for more than 15 years. According to this year's study, the most attractive employers in the assessment of working people are: AS “Latvijas valsts meži”, “Air Baltic Corporation”, “Starptautiskā lidosta “Rīga””, “Mikrotīkls (Mikrotik)”, “Latvijas Banka”, “Latvenergo” and “Latvijas Mobilais telefons”. In the student target group: AS “Latvijas valsts meži”, “Air Baltic Corporation”, “Starptautiskā lidosta “Rīga””, “Mikrotīkls (Mikrotik)” and “Latvijas Banka”, “Printful”, “Swedbank”, “Microsoft”, “All Media Latvia” and “UPB”.

AS “Latvijas valsts meži” – a family-friendly workplace

This year AS “Latvijas valsts meži” once again received the “Family-Friendly Workplace” status awarded under the programme of the Society Integration Foundation (SIF). This recognition confirms that LVM builds a supportive, inclusive and balanced working environment day to day, one in which the needs of employees and their families are respected – flexible working and mutual understanding in a variety of life situations, care for employees' wellbeing, health and emotional balance, as well as a working environment in which every employee feels valued not only as a professional but also as a person with a family and personal needs.

In 2025, 106 employers across Latvia received “Family-Friendly Workplace” status under the SIF programme. LVM received it once again, demonstrating a long-term approach to employee wellbeing.
