Economy Minister Jānis Vitenbergs (NA) received a "business mandate" on Monday during an extraordinary meeting of the National Economy Council, where he met with entrepreneurs and representatives of the largest business organisations, to push for the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions and the suspension of vaccination certificates, the Ministry of Economics (EM) reports.

During Monday's extraordinary meeting of the National Economy Council, the strategy for exiting the state of emergency prepared by the EM was discussed with entrepreneurs, with the ministry hearing proposals from business owners regarding the removal of business restrictions introduced to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The minister will also present the strategy prepared by the EM and the views expressed by the entrepreneurs to coalition partners at a cooperation meeting on Monday.
