The industrial initiative, supported by €2.5 billion in investments from ETI InnoEnergy and other strategic investors, creates a new 'green' technology in steel production using hydrogen.
Large-scale production is set to begin as early as 2024, and it is planned that five million tonnes of high-quality steel will be produced annually by 2030, lead investor ETI InnoEnergy promises in a press release.
