The newly discovered archaeological sites are: Ploņi hillfort in Dunava parish of Jēkabpils municipality, Lielindrica hillfort in Kalnieši parish of Krāslava municipality, Borovka hillfort in Kalnieši parish of Krāslava municipality, Silaviški hillfort in Višķi parish of Daugavpils municipality, Cucuri hillfort in Lauderi parish of Zilupe municipality, Vērēmi Škūru hill-fort in Vērēmi parish of Rēzekne municipality, Bierzinīki hillfort in Zvirgzdene parish of Cibla municipality, Svātova hillfort in Puša parish of Rēzekne municipality, and Hmilovka hillfort in Kastuļina parish of Aglona municipality.
