The forest fire danger period is being lifted in Latvia, according to a notice from the State Forest Service in the official gazette “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.
Every year, the State Forest Service determines the forest fire danger period and announces its start and end across the entire territory of Latvia. This year, the forest fire danger period in Latvia began on 24 April.
During the forest fire danger period, all citizens must adhere to fire safety requirements when in the forest.
