It sounds strange, but in environmental activist protests against the felling of trees in Bristol to make way for an apartment building, around 70 women are set to "marry" the old trees. Each "bride" will be dressed in a wedding gown, as the "ceremony" requires. While it is understood that these "marriages" carry no legal weight, the women are convinced that the action will certainly be heard and will help in the ongoing struggle for environmental conservation.
