At a formal ceremony on 21 August 2026, Latvijas Mednieku savienība honoured the most outstanding contributors to Latvia's hunting sector with the Hunting Awards of the Year. The awards were given for lifetime contribution, for significant work at national level, and for contributions in individual regions of Latvia.
This year's recipients were:
- Arvīds Ozols – award for lifetime contribution to hunting
- Roberts Strīpnieks – award for outstanding contribution to hunting in Latvia
- Dmitrijs Ņikitins – award for support of hunting
- Gints Kaktiņš – award for contribution to hunting in the Kurzeme region
- Ingars Lembergs – award for contribution to hunting in the Kurzeme region
- Uldis Saulītis – award for contribution to hunting in the Vidzeme region
- Jānis Markulis – award for contribution to hunting in the Vidzeme region
- Egija Sisene – award for contribution to hunting in the Zemgale region
- Aivars Skudra – award for contribution to hunting in the Sēlija region
- Aigars Jurašs – award for contribution to hunting in the Latgale region
