After 10 (!!!!!!!!) years of litigation, the Supreme Court of Spain has ordered the demolition of a village that was once illegally constructed within a nature reserve. 185 cottage-style buildings, a functioning four-star hotel, a golf club administration building, waterfront sports facilities, and other structures must all be demolished. In the place of the village, the region's characteristic flora and fauna must recover (or be restored). The costs of the demolition and restoration (reclamation) works are estimated at around 34 million euros.
