German Foreign Minister and Green Party member Annalena Baerbock (Annalena Baerbock) announced on Wednesday the appointment of former Greenpeace director Jennifer Morgan as the "face of Germany's international climate policy". US-born Morgan will begin her duties as Germany's special envoy for international climate action in March.
"There is no time left", and limiting global warming to 1.5 °C will require "international cooperation on a scale we have never seen before", Morgan stated.
