76. In cooperation with forestry sector organisations, we will develop amendments to forestry-related regulations to ensure Latvia's competitiveness in the Baltic Sea region, based on the principles of sustainable forest management, and we will not allow a reduction in the forest areas designated for economic activity.

78. We will support the allocation of funds from the state basic budget for carrying out statistical forest inventory, taking into account its significance to the national economy on a country-wide scale.

79. We will support the use of European Union, state, and state forest manager financial resources for improving forest infrastructure, increasing the economic value of forests, and mitigating the impact of climate change.
