From September, LBTU will implement several structural changes

To implement good governance principles and promote the development of interdisciplinary study and research directions, a reorganisation is planned at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU, formerly LLU) in Jelgava from 1 September. This involves a series of structural changes, including the merger of several faculties. This will strengthen existing study programmes whose graduates are in demand in the labour market and will open up broader opportunities for creating new ones.

...by merging the Faculty of Forest and the Faculty of Environment and Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences (MVZF) will be established. Five structural units will continue their operations within it: the Institute of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Engineering, the Institute of Forestry, the Institute of Modern Construction and Wood Processing, the Institute of Land Management and Geodesy, and the LBTU Interdisciplinary Laboratory. The new faculty's dean's office will be located at Akadēmijas iela 11, and its dean will be Dr. silv. Linards Sisenis.
