An interesting turn in European energy policy – the European Commission has put forward a proposal that nuclear power could be part of green energy in the future. This idea is particularly supported by France, which produces 70% of its electricity in nuclear power plants. Naturally, this country has another particular interest, although it is not spoken about loudly – nuclear reactors are part of France’s nuclear weapons programme.
