The European Federation for Hunting and Conservation (European Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FACE)) and the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC)) welcome the decision by UNESCO to include six countries – Croatia, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Kyrgyzstan – in the Representative List for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (ICH) in relation to falconry.

This seemingly straightforward and technical addition makes and will continue to make a significant contribution to the recognition and continuation of falconry traditions across 24 countries.
