Autumn is the right season to invite you to choose your European Tree of the Year and its story.
Voting will continue until 15 November, inclusive. You may vote once, for one tree.
Important – when voting, be sure to give the exact email address to which the link for confirming your vote will be sent! Only by confirming will your vote be successful and counted!
We organise the competition “European Tree of the Year in Latvia” in order to identify and get to know trees with fascinating stories, impressive dimensions and a significant place in preserving our cultural and historical heritage and natural values.
In the course of the National Forest Monitoring, 6,675,600,290 trees have been counted in Latvia. That is something we can be proud of!
This year 13 trees have been entered for the vote, and the result will be decided by the public vote.
We invite you to read the stories of all 13 trees and choose the one closest to your heart!
The winner of the Latvian vote will “take part” in the European competition, which is planned for February 2026. We will report on that separately.
We would like to remind voters: in this competition the tree and the story are equally important.
