Applications are now open for the European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) Award 2027. The European Committee of the Regions is continuing what it has begun — seeking out regions and cities that are ready to implement a forward-looking entrepreneurship strategy.
Up to three regions or cities have the opportunity to receive the EER label and join the network of innovative territories.
The central theme of the EER 2027 campaign is boosting EU competitiveness by stimulating local growth.
Any European Union territory with a status below that of a member state may apply, provided that the territory has the political competence to implement an entrepreneurship strategy. Regions, cities, European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation and Euroregions are invited to take part.
The application deadline is 19 March 2026.
