The latest assessment of the status of endangered species in Finland shows that forest management does not actually affect the status of endangered species. These species thrive (live) better in forests than in other habitats. Problems are only observed in small forest areas.
According to the 2019 data from the Red List of Finnish Species, there are 48,000 species found in Finland in total, of which 22,400 could be considered endangered in some way.
