The main cause of this situation is clearly the fact that both the USA and a united Europe, which has its own vision of the future in this regard, are combining the fight against climate change with a desire to dictate their own rules of the game, which also means plans to secure their future economic prosperity and geopolitical influence at the expense of the rest of the world.
To put it simply, all 'non-ecological' exports from third countries are set to be subject to significant taxes, which can only be avoided by purchasing Western ecologically 'correct' technologies and equipment. There are a great many other nuances, all of which clearly point to intentions to significantly tilt the playing field in favour of the West. Meanwhile, geopolitical players such as China and Russia, as well as a range of developing countries led by India, have no desire to allow the banquet of globalisation to continue at their expense.
