The Latvian Hunters' Association (LMS) has announced changes to its board. After many years of significant service at the head of the organisation, Jānis Baumanis has decided to step down as chairman of the board.
Jānis Baumanis has been at the core of the LMS leadership for several years, fostering the organisation's stability and development. LMS expresses its gratitude to Jānis Baumanis for his long-standing contribution to defending the interests of Latvia's hunters and for his significant achievements in developing the hunting sector. Under his leadership, LMS has strengthened its position as the leading hunters' organisation in Latvia.
Juris Buškevics has been elected unanimously as the new chairman of the board of the Latvian Hunters' Association at a meeting of the National Council.
Juris Buškevics has extensive experience in hunting and forestry, and he has also long been an active head of the LMS Zemgale region, making a valuable contribution to achieving the organisation's goals.
“I am honoured to take on this responsible post and I undertake to work for the good of the LMS membership. We will continue to develop the hunting sector, working together with state institutions, scientific institutions and the public. My goal is to ensure that hunters' voices are heard and respected at every level,” says Juris Buškevics.
