The Industrial Hemp Growers Association, which represents producers of sowing hemp or “cannabis sativa”, is calling for evidence to be sought that would confirm the historical use of sowing hemp – including both scientific publications and research. This would allow evidence to be submitted to the EC that sowing hemp has been used in Latvia since ancient times, the association's head points out.
