Tallinn's Deputy Mayor Joosep Vimm (SDE) has praised the Estonian capital's achievements to date, which have allowed it to break into the top twenty of the international quality of life index.
“This confirms our commitment to providing a safe and high-quality environment for living. We are proud that our efforts are promoting safety and the quality of healthcare,” he said, adding that: “Now we must continue to work on the further development of the capital to make Tallinn an even better place to live, work and travel.”
Tallinn ranked 19th out of almost 200 cities worldwide in the 2024 Numbeo Quality of Life Index (Numbeo Quality of Life Index), a category that Numbeo has been producing for approximately 15 years, with metrics that include purchasing power, pollution levels, housing affordability, cost of living and general safety, reports the newspaper Postimees.
