Both small and young farmers will be able to apply for support

To provide support to small-scale farmers, promote the competitiveness of small holdings by increasing their production productivity and efficiency, support cooperation and market access, and ensure that small farms have the opportunity to apply for development support, the government approved amendments drafted by the Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday, 22 June, to the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 292 of 9 June 2015, 'Procedures for the granting of state and European Union support for the sub-measure “Support for business start-ups, developing small farms” under the measure “Farm and business development”'.

Applicants for support, in cooperation with a consulting service provider working in the agricultural sector, must develop a farm business plan prepared for at least three years, but for a period no longer than 31 December 2024. The amount of support for the implementation of the business plan is 15,000 euros.

Small-scale farmers

To provide support to young farmers, assisting young people who are establishing an economically viable farm as a farm manager for the first time to produce agricultural products or taking over an existing farm in their ownership, the government approved amendments drafted by the Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday, 22 June, to the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 323 of 16 June 2015, 'Procedures for the granting of state and European Union support for the sub-measure “Support for young farmers for business start-ups” under the measure “Farm and business development”'.

Applicants for support must develop a farm business plan prepared for at least three years, but for a period no longer than 31 December 2024. The amount of support for the implementation of the business plan is 40,000 euros.
