"Threats to biodiversity are often overshadowed by the climate crisis, even though the two are closely linked and should be viewed as such in achieving the goals of the European Green Deal," says European Investment Bank Vice-President Ambroise Fayolle.

"To reach our climate goals and achieve transformative change, we must start integrating biodiversity into all policy areas and measures," A. Fayolle said at the IUCN Congress held in Marseille on 7 September.
