In a global context, when looking at the polluted nature of Asian, Indian, and African countries, the flowing rivers filled with waste and plastic debris, and China's massive industrialisation, we can already consider Latvia a green country. With our clean waters, well-tended land, and excellently maintained and managed forests. Consequently, there is hope that this process of change will not significantly affect our lives.

However, upon reading some of the available documents and guidelines regarding this green deal, we see that they speak very little about cleaning nature of pollution or about ecological problems; instead, they directly address issues of transforming economic and financial systems. This makes the green deal unclear and incomprehensible to the public.
