In the spring of 2022, it is planned to sell the first 3.2 million container pine seedlings grown at the Mežvidi nursery, while in 2023, 9.6 million container pine and spruce seedlings are planned to be sold.

Seedlings from Mežvidi will be sold to a wide range of clients: both for the needs of LVM to regenerate state forests and for private forest owners in Latvia and abroad. The nursery plans to grow container pine and spruce seedlings, which are in demand in forestry – they are easy to plant by hand using special planting tubes, and they are also suitable for mechanised planting, which will play an increasingly important role in forest regeneration in the future.
