Sift the gold, oh little sun,
With all your little sieves,
May you have a merry Christmas,
And a prosperous New Year!

Wishing you a lovely and heartfelt Christmas!

Have a wonderful end-of-year holiday!

Wishing you a peaceful, better and brighter New Year!

If there is deep snow around Christmas, expect rain at Midsummer,
if there is little snow – expect fine haymaking weather at Midsummer
(A proverb heard in Meirāni)
