Swedish technology company Anodox Energy Systems has announced its entry into Latvia and intends to develop an electric vehicle battery plant in the territory of the Freeport of Riga. The total investment volume in the first phase will reach 50 million euros, and up to 300 new jobs will be created. It is expected that the first plant in the Freeport of Riga will begin operations in December 2022, after which a second plant will be established, which will utilise the globally popular LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate battery) technology.
