Mathematician Fuad Aleskerov (Fuad Aleskerov) has concluded using mathematical modelling methods that as soil fertility decreases in Africa, migration of 0.7-1.2 billion people from the continent is possible. The author of the forecast is overly sceptical, believing that no other continent and no agricultural system would survive such an influx of people. However, the aforementioned figure is considered the maximum, allowing for the displacement of 360 million people, which is also a significant burden.

F. Aleskerov concluded that such local problems could become international, encouraging the world's industrialised countries, including Russia, to help China, Indonesia, and countries in Africa to use, for example, more environmentally friendly fuel. It is cheaper and much simpler to help people (nations) continue living in their native territories, maintaining their habitability, than to decide to accept migrants into one's own country.
