The risk zone, where agricultural operations may not be possible, covers 202,600 km2, which is around 34% of Ukraine's total territory.
Unfortunately, a large proportion of Ukraine's agricultural land is occupied by the enemy, while some of it is unusable as a result of military operations or due to the presence of explosives. As is known, Russian occupation forces are deliberately engaging in damaging or destroying Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment. It must be emphasised that even in the event of the liberation of occupied territories (and thus agricultural land), agricultural activities will not be possible quickly until the fields have been demined.
