In 2021, the awards for creating new wood products (Uusu Puu, New Wood 2021) were presented to:

1. FibDex - a wound dressing made from nanocellulose (UPM Biomedicals)

2. Rasweet - a natural sweetener from birch wood (KoivuBio Tech)

3. Sulapac - an aesthetically appealing and multifunctional biomaterial (Sulapac)
