Study concludes: tropical forests can recover sufficiently quickly

The study concludes that soil fertility in previously deforested land can recover in approximately 10 years. But, as the study's author has emphasised, this does not allow people to "deforest just like that".
Deforestation is a global problem. New research shows that in previously deforested land, tropical forests can recover naturally and very quickly. The study, which was published in the journal https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abh3629, found that by using deforested areas at a low intensity, the soil can regain its fertility in less than ten years.
