“The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of European climate policy on the competitiveness and sustainability of the industry. Considering the findings of the experts at “KPMG Baltics”, it becomes clear what the chemical industry sector and Estonian society as a whole must take into account,” states the association’s report.
It has been determined that Estonia could earn 8.2 billion euros from shale oil production over the next 20 years. Of this, 7.5 billion will be distributed among social partners operating within the sector. Furthermore, this money will go to the state treasury and the general public.
