Deputies of the Sejm - the lower house of the Polish parliament - have voted for changes to the Polish Hunting Act to allow young people under the age of 18 to participate in or be present at hunts under the supervision of parents or authorised persons.

Poland is currently the only country in Europe with a statutory age limit of 18 for participation in hunting. For both FACE and the Polish Hunting Association, the decision by the lower house of the Sejm is a significant step in the right direction towards bringing Poland into line with other European countries where such restrictions on hunting do not exist.
