Over the years, the association “Dvietes senlejas pagastu apvienība” has paid thousands of euros in fines because it does not comply with absurd, animal-traumatising and essentially impossible-to-fulfil veterinary requirements that should not apply to the descendants of the historic animals that were returned to the wild 20 years ago as part of ambitious environmental projects.
