JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks” has now become one of the largest pasta manufacturers in Northern Europe and exports this type of product to 70 countries around the world. The company’s turnover in pasta production boosts Latvia’s export capacity, but at the same time it also brings changes to agriculture – in Latvia, “durum” or hard wheat varieties are increasingly being grown and are in demand, which were not even talked about until relatively recently.
