Last Thursday (4 August), a large fire broke out in one of Berlin's biggest urban forests (Grunewald), triggered by several explosions at an ammunition dump.
Berlin police reported that they were assisting their firefighting colleagues due to concerns about the fire spreading uncontrollably.
The fire affected approximately 15,000 m2 or 1.5 hectares of forest, the city's fire department announced.
