Six billion euros are needed to mitigate climate change by 2030, said Dzintars Kauliņš, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics (EM), at the forum "Energy and Climate Plan 2030 – On the way to a sustainable country" held on Thursday.

The EM expert informed those present about the measures included in the plan for the energy, transport, and building sectors.

He explained that the plan includes a series of measures to make the transport sector "greener", for example by encouraging the renewal of vehicle fleets and the use of public transport. The plan also proposes to promote the use of "greener" fuels in general consumption, agriculture, public transport, commercial transport...
