In the Canadian province of British Columbia, a decision has been made to develop forest management plans in collaboration with local Indigenous representatives. The British Columbia Minister of Forests has introduced amendments to the Forest and Range Practices Act, explaining how these will change forest management in the province. The Minister's statement emphasised that, moving forward, forest management will be aligned with the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
