Latvian-Canadian gifts Bauska a 3.67-hectare plot of land on condition that a park is established there

At the beginning of September this year, the local government received an application from Kornelius Kampe, in which he offered to gift the city his property in Bauska, provided that a park named Kampe Park is established on it. The estimated cadastral value of the property from 2023 is set at €26,382.

According to the Bauska Municipality Council spatial plan, the land use type of the property is low-rise residential development and nature and greenery territory.

Within a low-rise residential development area, one of the additional permitted uses is landscaped public open space, which includes publicly accessible courtyards, greenery and infrastructure, including non-residential buildings and engineering structures, for the purpose of recreation, health and physical activities, and for the provision of other public open space functions.
