Car
A 'typical car buyer' might want components like titanium and carbon fibre in their vehicle. Wood? Probably not! People usually only associate wood with rather expensive dashboard trim.
However... a car has now been 'created' using cellulose nanofibres (a wood derivative) that are stronger than steel. This car was commissioned by the Japanese government to research reducing emissions in car manufacturing. The resulting car weighs 50% less than traditional ones.
