At the G20 Climate Summit in Naples, sitting on the sidelines and watching, it is hard not to feel a sense of existential dread. Last year, in 2020, the cover of TIME read: the year (from the end of 2020 to December 2021) has given us an opportunity for Development, starting with the billions used to recover from Covid-19 and concluding with the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow. This is our last and best chance to avoid the worst impacts and consequences of climate change.
